| 2009/11/17 - In an event filled weekend, Team Neotel raced on 3 fronts:
- The bulk of the pro team travelled to Orkney in the North West Province for the AGA Challenge - part of the Alphapharm series
- Our Academy squad, under the leadership of experienced Tiaan Kannemeyer turned out at the Medscheme Tour de Vino in Franschoek
- While our Namibian rider, Loto Petrus attended the African Championships and won the under 23 race - our very own "Neoteller" as African champion!
The AGA Cycle Challenge saw a timeous win for Neotel's Hoffmann with MTN's Juan Van Heerden in 2nd. The Aphapharm starting to resemble a 2 horse race with only 10 points separating Medscheme's Arran Brown and Hoffmann.
Admittedly Medscheme were away at their sponsor's event in the Cape, Hoffmann made maximum use of the opportunity.
The final outcome will depend on the last 2 events in the series - the 94.7 on Sunday and the Burger race in Cape Town at the end of November. | |
